Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified general contractor to repair fire‑damage to Shelter #1 in Halyburton Park. Work includes demolition of damaged glulam beams and roof components, inspection of remaining structure, replacement of all damaged structural members and roofing, resealing of glulam, and associated electrical repairs. All materials must match the original specifications and comply with local, state, and federal codes. The contract is a fixed‑price services agreement lasting 60 days from execution.
• Remove and replace two 5″ × 9 3⁄8″ Southern Yellow Pine laminated arch beams and a 48‑ft laminated beam.
• Install new roof decking, pressure‑treated fascia, metal roofing, drip‑edge, roofing felt, ice‑shield, and complete waterproof electrical receptacle installation.
• Apply clear penetrating sealers to all exposed glulam members and submit full documentation, including inspection reports, material data sheets, warranties, and as‑built drawings.
