NBS Laboratory Information Management System - OIT

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is conducting market research for a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to replace the existing system used by the Newborn Screening (NBS) program. The LIMS must integrate with >10 testing platforms, handle >130,000 newborn samples per year, track patient demographics, provide reporting, and support the workflow from sample receipt through diagnosis. Vendors are asked to describe how their solution meets the detailed functional requirements (Exhibit A), provide cost estimates for development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance, and outline a project schedule. Responses are due by 11 February 2026, with questions to be submitted by 9 October 2026.
