The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is seeking vendor input on a modern, scalable Contraband Interdiction System (CIS) capable of detecting, blocking, and precisely locating unauthorized wireless devices (e.g., contraband phones and hotspots) within correctional facilities. This RFI is strictly information‑gathering and may lead to a future competitive procurement. Vendors must describe how their solution satisfies continuous detection, communication blocking, and location capabilities, detail prior deployments, integration approaches, security controls, and provide cost and schedule estimates.
• Continuous detection & monitoring of contraband wireless devices across ODRC facilities.
• Ability to block communications globally, target specific access points, or isolate individual devices.
• Precise geolocation of unauthorized devices to enable rapid response, with integration via standardized APIs and secure data exchange.
• Required documentation includes technical description, project schedule (Gantt), resume samples, and cost structure, submitted as unprotected Word and PDF files through OhioBuys.
