Description
The University of New Orleans is seeking a qualified insurance provider to furnish a comprehensive international travel insurance program for students, faculty, staff, and associated participants in study‑abroad and other overseas educational activities. The contract will cover medical expenses, evacuation, accidental death, and a suite of ancillary benefits for an estimated 350‑450 participants per year, with a base period from April 1 2027 through March 31 2028 and up to four optional one‑year renewals. Bidders must demonstrate A‑M Best rating of at least A‑ and provide references from three universities. The award will go to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; all bids must be submitted by the bid opening on 11 Nov 2026 at 2 PM CT.
• Scope: Full‑service travel insurance (medical, evacuation, AD&D, repatriation, etc.)
• Coverage period: 12 months (April 1 2027‑Mar 31 2028) with up to four renewal options
