Description
The Lapeer County Intermediate School District (LCISD) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive custodial services for two of its facilities – the Education & Technology Center in Attica and the district’s Central Office in Lapeer. The contract will run for three years with an option to extend, and the district may cancel with 60‑day notice. The scope includes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning tasks, on‑site management, employee screening, insurance, safety and OSHA compliance, and detailed reporting. Vendors must demonstrate at least three years of experience in educational custodial work, provide financial statements, maintain $2 million liability insurance, and submit extensive documentation (implementation plans, handbooks, safety programs, staffing reports, etc.). Bids are to be submitted in sealed envelopes by November 10, 2026, after attending a mandatory pre‑bid meeting and site walk on November 3, 2026.
• Mandatory pre‑bid meeting/site inspection on Nov 3, 2026 (2:30 PM) at the Education & Technology Center.
• Two sites covered: 690 N. Lake Pleasant Rd., Attica, MI and 1175 S. Lapeer Rd., Lapeer, MI.
• Contract term: 3 years with possible extensions; 60‑day cancellation right.
• Required experience: ≥3 years providing custodial services to schools.
• Insurance: $2 M general liability; workers’ comp as required by Michigan law.
• Detailed deliverables: cleaning schedules, safety & training programs, employee handbooks, staffing reports, emergency procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Submission deadline: 2:00 PM (EST) on Nov 10, 2026; bids must be sealed and signed.
• Evaluation criteria include experience, insurance, staffing plan, and ability to meet the extensive cleaning and reporting requirements.
